Has ENVY arrested YOU

Beautiful one, I saw for the first time last night that envy arrested Jesus. I don’t know why I never saw it before… I feel warned in my spirit to guard renounce and reject envy.

Strongs define it as ill will, jealousy,

The Oxford defines it

as feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck:

Envy arrests the life giving kingdom from effectively working in you. By not dealing with it, there is a huge reality of forfeiting your inheritance.

Praise Jesus we have been delivered from envy it has no hold on a Spirit Filled Christian who is walking in the spirit. But let’s not be ignorant that although we resist the temptation of envy, others are happy to live with it. This is the predominant motivation of a religious person to gossip and accuse you just as the religious people of Jesus day. Same spirit in operation.

When you move powerfully, your prayers are being answered, your walking in the blessing, you have all your needs and more supplied, where ever you go favour to your left and right, it just works out for you. Don’t be surprised if envy shows up.

God is no respect of person, He will do the same for anyone willing to humble themselves, lay there life down for Jesus. Yet envy sticks to religion and will torment those not willing to walk with Jesus. It wants to arrest, block, hinder, not follow.

Mark 15:9-11 NLT

[9] "Would you like me to release to you this 'King of the Jews'?" Pilate asked. [10] (For he realized by now that the leading priests had arrested Jesus out of envy.) [11] But at this point the leading priests stirred up the crowd to demand the release of Barabbas instead of Jesus.

Titus 3:3-7 NLT

[3] Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. [4] But- When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, [5] he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. [6] He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. [7] Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.

Galatians 5:21 NKJV

[21] envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 23:17-18 NKJV

[17] Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day; [18] For surely there is a hereafter, And your hope will not be cut off.

The Lord God is faithful and is bound by His Word. We can fully trust in Him for our vindication, respect and right standing. Vengeance belongs to the Lord. Hebrews 10:30 NKJV

[30] For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The LORD will judge His people."

The carnal, natural man forgets there is a hereafter. Loosing the fear of the Lord draws you away from the confidence of His justice and the hereafter that is promised.

Notice someone who does not fear the Lord, full of envy, no sight of the hereafter, no boundaries, or sacrifice in their life, living for themselves and serving only when it appears good in the eyes of man or only when it’s convenient to their schedule.

A believer without the fear of the Lord will lie, cheat, manipulate, and be concerned more with the outward appearance than the inward condition of the heart.

I’m sure you remember the account of Ananias and sapphria in

Acts 5:1-6 NKJV

[1] But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. [2] And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles' feet. [3] But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? [4] While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God." [5] Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. [6] And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.

In the previous chapter of Acts, we are told of the mighty move of the Holy Spirit amongst the believers. There was a genuine fear of the Lord and sacrificial giving where those with extra land sold and gave to the apostles for the over all needs of their brothers and sisters in Christ. Ananias not wanting to be outdone by the other wealthy land owners proceeded to do the same. There will be people who think outward appearance is everything, and putting on a show will gain them some kind of status. In their case, envy may have taken part however we know there was a major lack of the fear of the Lord such as resulted in their immediate death.

The scripture say those who practice lying are grouped in with murderers and cowards who have been disqualified for the kingdom.

Revelation 21:8 NKJV

[8] But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Having a healthy fear of the Lord is part of your protective gear on this earth. PPE.

Acts 9:31 NKJV

[31] Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.

Joshua 24:14 NKJV

[14] "Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!

Proverbs 15:16 NKJV

[16] Better is a little with the fear of the LORD, Than great treasure with trouble.

Proverbs 22:4 NKJV

[4] By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches and honor and life.

Proverbs 14:27 NKJV

[27] The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.

Proverbs 2:5 NKJV

[5] Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

Psalm 25:14 NKJV

[14] The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

Job 28:28 NKJV

[28] And to man He said, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.'"

The fear of the Lord the 7th nature and power of the Holy Spirit

Isaiah 11:2 NKJV

[2] The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

The fear of the Lord protects you from your natural understanding, helps you to see beyond the natural

Isaiah 11:3 NKJV

[3] His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

May we walk in the fear of the Lord and free from envy today in Jesus Name.
