Who doesn’t love rewards !!!! God has rewards waiting, stored up, ready, for those who are diligent in seeking Him.
Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
[6] But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
I’m definitely an incentive person… as was Abraham Genesis 15:1-2 NKJV
[1] After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." [2] But Abram said, "Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?"
What’s in it for me??? Abraham asks God a genuine question. If I give up all for you, what do I get?? Peter had a similar question Luke 18:28-30 NKJV
[28] Then Peter said, "See, we have left all and followed You." [29] So He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, [30] who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life."
Our rewards are determined by our diligence to seek. Another translation say Hebrews 11:6 NLT
[6] ……and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Sincerely is defined as genuinely, honestly, really, with all sincerity, truly, truthfully, wholeheartedly, with all one's heart, from the bottom of one's heart, earnestly, fervently, seriously; without pretence, without feigning, in good faith.
Without feigning, I like that.
A never ending tenacity, to refuse access to depression, disappointment, and discouragement when it seems like your rewards are forever delayed. Diligence brings your breakthroughs.
Galatians 6:9 NKJV
[9] And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Proverbs 12:24 NKJV
[24] The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.
Diligence to me says, I’m going to get up, and live with fullness of purpose even when I don’t feel like it.
Diligence to me says, focus on the reward as you persevere.
Diligence to me says forsake all for the treasure in the field.
Matthew 13:44 NKJV
[44] "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Notice this treasure was hidden. It takes a seeking out to find it. Maybe the field has bears or lions that need to be evicted, or the fencing needs fixing, or clearing or weeding. What ever the fields issues, it still hides the treasure. And you are willing to forsake all for that treasure even if it means the field comes with some work.
Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV
[7] "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. [8] For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
The REWARDS are for you to receive, here now, today, as you sincerely seek the Lord in every opportunit
