If the woman with the issue of blood could access the power of God through her faith then so can you.
Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
It wasn’t the supernatural mysterious sovereign power, it wasn’t because hands were layed on her, it wasn’t because she was anointed by oil, it wasn’t because others brought her to Jesus like those who broke open the roof and lowered the paralytic. This woman was essentially a criminal for being out in public. Risking her life of a sentence of stoning to death.
We know she had faith cause Jesus said it was HER faith, not his that healed her. How did she get it??? Romans 10:17 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Where on earth did she ever get the crazy idea that by touching the hem of His garment her body would receive its healing???
She must have heard it said. She must have heard the testimonies of people being healed specifically by touching the hem of His garment. How else would faith for this be deposited into her heart???? Faith is received by hearing. Her faith came by hearing the reports of this Jesus and how his garment hem healed people.
Matthew 14:35-36 KJV
[35] And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; [36] And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
You too can have the same faith… you too can be known for your faith as this woman now forever in history is known. Her courage to step out on her faith placed her in the eternal writings of history to show us we too can have the same testimony if only we would believe the reports.
Maybe we aren’t as desperate as her. Maybe we haven’t lost all our money as she did trying to get well. Maybe we wouldn’t risk breaking the law like she did.
Some people are desperate enough to push past every barrier to get their faith realised. Those who are willing to die for their faith will ultimately live.
John 12:25 NKJV
[25] He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
It’s truly up to you.. you can have as little or as much faith as you want. It all depends on your hearing, not seeing.
Most people think fear is the opposite to faith. But can I propose to you that seeing is the opposite to faith.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 Corinthians 4:18 NKJV
[18] while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
You sight will tell you what you see. Your faith will tell you what you can’t see. Let faith arise and take its place this year. Let us walk by faith, talk faith and believe God at His Word.
